We are going to buy the weekly metro card. I know it goes to Brooklyn. What other areas does it cover?
Thanks, jackie
Metro Card
Bronx, Queens, and Manhattan. All of this: http://mta.info/nyct/maps/submap.htm plus the busses as well (not the express busses, just the regular busses).
Metro Card
MetroCards cover all five boroughs.

';cp, I was just talking to my dad about this. Yes, it covers the entire subway system, as well as the bus system. This means I can take a bus from Great Neck, Long Island (about 25 miles away!) to the end of the 7 line, make a free transfer to the subway system, take the 7 into Manhattan, transfer to the 1 train at Times Square, and take that all the way to the Bronx. All for $1.66 (if you buy the $10 card, you get a 20% bonus). Quite a deal.';
P.S. Keep in mind that people can%26#39;t share the unlimited weekly cards. You have to wait about 15 minutes between succesful swipes (tranfers notwithstanding).
If two of you want to buy just one card between you, buy the pay-as-you-go cards.

Sorry if this is repetitive; just want to ensure you don%26#39;t get stuck with something you don%26#39;t want.
How%26#39;s your plan for Brooklyn and LES coming along?
