2 Brits looking for a hotel in NY for 19th-24th Sept.

Hi

We are 2 Brits in NY for 5 nights.

I wondered if anyone had any tips on:

1. Could anyone recommend a hotel in Midtown/S Central Park area? A pool would be nice.

2. If no hotel pool then is there somewhere you can pay to go for a swim?

3. Any recommendations on how to book to get the best deal ie particular websites or by calling the hotel?

Prices are crazy right now and you%26#39;ve left things to the last minute. If budget isn%26#39;t an issue, some midtown hotels with a pool are

Le Parker Meridien

Millenium UN Plaza

Mandarin Oriental

The Melrose Hotel near Bloomingdales has a health club in the building with a lap pool. Guests from the hotel I think can use the pool for free.

The Kimberly hotel gives you access to a pool nearby.

You might check sidestep.com which generally tells you which websites have the best deals on a particular hotel on certain dates. There%26#39;s also a feature here on tripadvisor that says Compare that will show you prices on 2-4 websites.

I belong to Asphalt Green, a terrific facility but a bit out of the way for you. I%26#39;d recommend Manhattan Plaza, it%26#39;s a gorgeous facility and just a couple of blocks from Times Square, on 43rd and 9th Ave.
