we had a wonderful time we were made welcome by all we came into contact with, stayed at the hilton time square which was great. went to see beauty and the beast which was magical, and had a peice of cheese cake in roxys the size of a small child!!! got nycity passes which saved us a fortune, and a taxi ride in NY from time square to century 21 was eventful to say the least (do these drivers have to sit a test at all?) crash helmets should be provided! the driver was chinese and was naming all the english people he had ever heard of!! .......hugh grant, richard attenborough elton john tony blair etc etc all whilst driving like a maniac weeving in and out of traffic and laughing!! i was petrified!! my husband and son were laughing along but im sure that was just nerves!! many thanks to you all for advice before we went and thanks to NYC it truly is a spectacular place!! Diane xxxx back to england and back to work!! BOO HOO
back to england from NYC
Glad you enjoyed your trip....nothing like a ride in a NYC taxi to get the blood flowing!!!
back to england from NYC
Roxy%26#39;s is probably my favourite place to eat, did you see the size of the smoked meat sandwiches?? More than enough to feed two. Glad you had a good trip. Those taxis can be a scarey deal.
I LOVE your description of that cab ride!!
omg di, sounds like i had your chinese taxi driver too. He kept telling me how George Bush is a drunk and that%26#39;s why he fell off his bicycle twice and choked on a hot dog, and the taxi driver kept laughing the whole time he told me the story!
Where is Roxy%26#39;s?
Glad you had a great time!
I believe the ESB will soon offer a virtual reality taxi ride....
roxys is in time square!! 47th and broadway.my hubby got a beef sandwich that was 4inches deep honest! and i got a peice of cheese cake that was 3inch deep and 2inch wide........... incredible, a bit pricey but worth it for the entertainments value. we expected to pay a bit more cos of the location but when the food came we were amazed.
