where to stay in or/near Catskill

Any great recommendations where to stay with young kids in the Catskills??We%26#39;re looking for something pretty, not too expensive or isolated. We don%26#39;t know the area at all and it%26#39;s hard to tell which area is ideal to stay in. We would love an area that is pretty with things to do and restaurants nearby.

thanks!

IF your are going to the catskill game farm, the catskill motor court is right outside the entrance, has a playground and pool for kids and its very inexpensive, nothing fancy, across the road is a store that has, coffee, ice cream, snakes and gift shop. And a few miles up past the motel is a tiny breakfast diner that seats about 25 people, has the best breakfast around, all the locals go there and it is very inexpensive.

we found it accidently and been there 3 times now we just might go this weekend.

enjoy!!!!

The Red Ranch Motel is a good choice. Reasonable and nice and close to attractions. My husband and I stayed there for 1 night in July and reserved 2 nights for Aug. They have a pool, game room, swings and a restaurant next door. Close to Catskill Game Farm and Zoom Flume. Their website is: www.redranchmotel.com. Check it out.

Let me first state that I work for Sunny Hill Resort in Greenville, NY (in the Northern Catskills).

It%26#39;s an all-inclusive resort that provides tons of activities and cool things for the kids (rides on Monster Trucks, military tanks, and fire trucks each night). For the parents, they get to relax and do adult things (wine tasting, beer tasting, golf, local excursions) because they feel secure in giving their children a little more independence.

It%26#39;s a clean, comfortable, highly-regarded resort and there%26#39;s lots more info on their website.

Hope this gives you more options...
