Hi,
Can anyone suggest a good florist in NYC. We%26#39;re staying at the Library (299 Madison Avenue at 41street New, York, NY, 10017) and we need someone to do some flowers for our wedding.
Thanks.

That website looks wonderful Iddev!! I too was going to recommend an upper westside florist called Surroundings on west 79st.

They do wonderful arrangements when sending someone flowers (and they always arrive in good condition) but that%26#39;s not necessarily the best reco for a wedding. I haven%26#39;t seen their work at a wedding.
zzaro, what exactly do you need? Just a bouquet and boutiniers or also table settings? I wouldn%26#39;t nec. pick a florist near your hotel if you%26#39;re having a reception elsewhere and need centerpieces.
I did notice this place which gets very good reviews on citysearch and isn%26#39;t too far from your hotel

Yes, that web site looks gorgeous. I%26#39;ve also used Surroundings for years (great minds think alike, eh Whiz?) for gift arrangements, but never used them (or anyone else) for a wedding.
Hello nywhiz,
I only need a bouquet doing, getting hitched in Central Park (7 weeks to go sooooooooo excited).
Time is becoming a bit of an issue.
Arrive in NY on the wednesday.
Thursday is going to spent sorting out money order and wedding licence and we have got to meet up with our officiant, also our wedding party arrive this day.
And Friday will be spent tying up any odds and ends before the big day and trying to see some of the big apple.
I thought if there was a good florist nearer to us it might save us a bit of time on the day itself?
Perhaps I am just trying to be toooo organised:)
I too have never used Salou (or anybody!) for weddings, but they have done good work for me with ';regular'; arrangements.
Unfortunately I don%26#39;t know of any florists I%26#39;d recommend closer to the hotel. The hotel concierge might have a reco though.
The other thought is you could theoretically do this all through web and phone. Any florist in NYC will DELIVER your bouquet to the hotel on the day and even if you%26#39;re not there, the hotel will keep it in a fridge for you. So you either only need to go once to discuss/pick something out, OR you could try emailing and see if they have some option they can show you via email.
I hadn%26#39;t even thought of that (scatty wedding head on), delivery sounds like an excellant idea.
Thank you nywhiz you are a star :)
