I really think it%26#39;s almost impossible to give recos without some sense of the type of food, ambiance or even location you%26#39;re looking for. Do you like a small intimate place? A big glamorous place? Are you drinkers? Does your budget include wine/alcohol (which can sometimes double the price of a meal)?

thanks, the candela resaurant sounds popular, i am staying across from penn station, is it easy to find this place from there? do you need to reseve and about how long before

From Penn Station, I would walk east to Herald Square, 34th and Broadway/6th Ave. (one avenue block). Take the N, R, Q or W downtown to Unio Square. Stay in the back of the train. Exit at 16th Street/Union Square North. Walk through Union Square (east) to get to E.16th St. Candela is on that block.
