To my cyber-friends on the NYC Forum

I just want to publicly thank all my cyber friends here that wished me good tidings...

Seektravel, Queensboulevard, Bettina, Brooklynnite, NYwhiz, NYCgirl, penguin1977, NYC10025, Ange, Daisegee, Lig1006, NYYankeefan, DollyLevy, Tastebud, notopsebring, ansky, calicocat and others - your comments meant the world to me.

Your support warmed my soul!

I did what I did because I could and because I have a wife, friends and an employer that fully support such activities.

It%26#39;s great to be back in NYC and here on this forum.

Good to have you back LTT. It%26#39;s at times like this where, although many miles apart we can show our unity

Welcome home, that is the operative word, that you have somewhere to go home to!

What we take for granted.

Glad to have you back safe %26amp; sound.

Glad you%26#39;re back and congratulations.

P.S. I%26#39;m sure the extra ';s'; in my post was a typo. ;o)

Welcome home LTT. It%26#39;s people like you that warm MY soul.

You might be interested in reading this story about another quiet hero, Juan Parke, who rescued my girlfriends parents (along with many others) in New Orleans. Here%26#39;s a link to a newspaper article that describes their rescue.

I think one of the sad things about this (apart from the obvious) is that particularly here we were shown the looters, we were told about attacks in the dome and guns and fighting but little was made of the heros of the hour....that%26#39;s a fantastic story whiz that has brought a tear to my eye and now probably everyone at work knows I%26#39;m not actually working!

What a wonderful guy, a real hero.

Whiz - Thanks, and thanks for this article, but not even in same breath if you know what I mean.

The Juan Parke story is about the inherent good in people, and Juan Parke is a true hero.

I%26#39;m so happy your girlfriend%26#39;s parents are safe. Does anyone know if Juan Parke is still in NO or if he has been forcibly evacuated?

Whiz..thankyou so much for that link. What a man.

I%26#39;m glad you%26#39;re back, too. I am humbled by the determination of you, Juan Parke and others.

LTT - It was, literally nothing. What YOU did was unbelievable.

I%26#39;m so pleased you%26#39;re back safe and that there are people like you in the world.
