subway fare from JFK to EWR

I have gotten conflicting info as to how much it will be from JFK to EWR on a few websights. I have seen estimates as low as $60-$90 plus tolls and tip.

I considered renting a car for the day to get there which is $70 but do not know my best option.

Any ideas?

Just want to clarify that it will take millions of dollars, since the NYC subway does not go to New Jersey yet.

Having said that, yes, auto transport (taxis, shuttles or buses) is the most comfortable way, traffic notwithstanding.

If you want to use public transit all the way, you can take the Air Train at JFK ($5) to Jamaica, and transfer to the E subway train ($2) to Manhattan. Take it to 42nd-Times Square and catch a bus to Newark at the Port Authority Bus Terminal (don%26#39;t know how much that is.)

The most economical depends on how many of you there are.

%26gt; a shuttle bus which goes supposedly every 2 hours starting at 9 am and costs $24/person

%26gt;if that schedule doesn%26#39;t work for you, a shuttle bus to Port Authority bus terminal and another shuttle bus from Port Authority to Newark. JFK to PA bus costs about $15, and PA to EWR costs $12 so that%26#39;s $27/person

%26gt;the AirTrain/LIRR to Penn Station NYC and then train from there to EWR. Not sure of total cost but about $20-24/person.

They%26#39;re estimating a taxi at $75 and that would be for up to 4 people. I%26#39;d contact one of the car services for a quote if you%26#39;re more than 2.

Woops, forgot about AirTrain-to-LIRR-to-Penn-Station-to-NJ Transit option...

Good idea, nywhiz.

Take the bus... you need to do 4 transfers to get there. Airtran to E-Train transfer at 42nd str to any train going to 34th str (Penn Station), then at Penn take any outgoing train on the New Jersey Transit, then get off at EWR and take their monorail around to your terminal. It would take you 3 hours with all the transfers and you might get confused. Take the bus and don%26#39;t worry about the couple of dollars.

I agree the bus is probably a better bet, but platna, you can take the AirTrain to LIRR to Penn Station avoiding the subway and one change.

Broadway%26#39;s way is only $24 and looks to be direct.

I mean broadwaynyc of course
