September 11th commemorative events

1. Memorial Service at the former site of the World Trade Center: 8:46 AM - 4:00 PM - Will include a full reading, mostly by siblings, of victims%26#39; names; there will be four moments of silence at the times of impact and collapse.

2. Tribute in Light - starting at dusk. This is an incredibly beautiful and moving tribute using two high intensity light beams to replicate the World Trade Center towers.

Thanks!!!

I have yet to see the Tribute in Light.

The first time they did it, I was in London of all places.

Time to drive over to Liberty State Park this Sunday and remedy the situation.

ooooohhhhhh, must take my SLR

and try to figure out how to take as gorgeous photo as that Adam guy ....

The Tribute in Light is so moving, powerful %26amp; beautiful. I find it such a poetic %26amp; spiritual way to remember everyone who lost their lives on that horrible day.

Am I right in thinking that the Tribute in Light lasts for a few weeks? Or was this only the first year or two after 9/11?

It sounds truly moving xx

Although that was true in previous years, it is for one night only this year

At sundown, the ';Tribute in Light'; will return for one night only on September 11, in memory of those lost and as a symbol of the spirit of our community. The ';Tribute in Light'; will be located at a new site this year at West and Morris Streets in Lower Manhattan.
