The People of New York City

To all New Yorkers i know this coming weekend is going to be hard. As you remember all the people lost that sad day. I just wanted to let you know you will be in my thoughts. (i suppose i speak for all in the UK).

A week before 9/11 i treated my mum to dinner at the windows of the world resturant....... I will never forget that day.... you have a wonderful city....

Thank you, NETS, we appreciate it, but our thoughts are with the victims of Hurricane Katrina, too.

The People of New York City

Thanks NETS - and like NYCGirl I believe our thoughts are with the victims of 9/11 and with the victims of Katrina.

Here%26#39;s a very moving photo from the Tribute in Lights from 9/11/2004

Nets, thank you

It is a wonderful city.

It is a day filled with sad memories.

I%26#39;m going to make sure I am very appreciative for all that I have (my faith, my health, my family, my job etc) and that I make the most of the day.

It is also a good time to focus on ways we can make a difference for good in this uncertain world.

I also like the towers of light. It is a beautiful tribute.

You are all quite right the victims of Hurricane Katrina, cannot be forgotten to .Each day i have watched this story unfold it is so hard to take in.

My thought are with you all

Very thoughtful post, NETS. From here too. Certainly the people of NYC are in our thoughts this weekend. I have many friends there and I%26#39;m sure we all remember that day all too clearly. I think it%26#39;s fitting somehow that the IronMan Competition is being held in Wisconsin tomorrow - a grand standing together and show of all that strength in the heart of America.

NETS,

A very thoughtful post which I%26#39;m sure is echoed by all. Even in the UK, we all know of someone who visited the building or vicinity around that time.

Thank you NETS. I was outside yesterday and I looked up mentally noting the color of the sky. The sky was soooo blue that day. The kind of beginning of fall day where it is still warm but there is a palpable seasonal shift. I lost a good friend and a neighbor that day and make a pilgimage every year. Not sure if I will go this year, will have to see what tomorrow actually brings.

My prayers are with the survivors of our tragedy and with the survivors of Katrina as well as all the folks around our planet who have suffered from terrorisim or acts of nature.

God bless us everyone.
