Info on TV and Movie Landmarks..

Could anyone provide me with information where we might find information on famous television or movie related landmarks? We are interested in visiting some of the sites we saw over and over on television or at the movies growing up. For some quirky reason, visiting these landmarks seems as appealing to us as going to one of the city%26#39;s famous museums. If anyone could point us to a source of such information, we would appreciate it. Thanks.

Try this site... http://www.nytours.us/. There are links on the side for different types of tours available. If you are interested in any specific movies, give the names and I%26#39;m sure you%26#39;ll get advice.

Here is one:

Not nostaligic, but the latest one:

MTV%26#39;s Seventeen Girl (a reality show this fall about young women vying to work at Seventeen Magazine) was filmed in a white cast-iron building on Murray Street and Greenwich Street in Tribeca (2 blocks north of World Trade Center site).

The ';Night Court'; building is on Pearl and Worth Street.

try this site

It lists movies about NY

I think that the building that the odd couple lived in was across from the museum of natural history. Does anybody know the address?

And, yes, car 54 where are you WAS really filmed in the Bronx!

I%26#39;ve seen books in Barnes %26amp; Nobles that list movie settings. You might try searching their site as well as Amazon.com.

Also use the search function here to find a previous thread about New York movies. And also search google, as there are web sites devoted to movie locations.

It%26#39;s a great surprise to walk around Manhattan and suddenly recognize the location from a familiar movie.

Don%26#39;t forget this site which gives you everything you could possibly want to know about Ghostbusters I and II http://hometown.aol.com/nygbtour/home.html
