Hotel reservations - should I worry

I booked my hotel -Jolly Madison Towers back in Late February/Early March - I booked on line on the hotels own website. I booked for 5 nights 26th November - 1st December. I received an email back confirming the reservation was being held.

This week I sent an email again to the hotel last weekend, just to confirm the booking was still being held for us, and I haven%26#39;t heard back.

I am no stranger to independent travelling and booking hotels on line/via email etc, and have never been let down, however never travelled to the States before, and no reason to distrust, but would hate to travel all the way to be stuck!

Anyone out there feel able to rest my mind?

Just keep on the hotel%26#39;s case.

Keep e-mailing until they contact you.

If you have a CONFIRMATION number you should be OK!

In the interim an airmail letter may be in order.

If worse comes to worse, it may be worth a phone call - I know, pricey, but may be worth the peace of mind.

I wouldn%26#39;t worry if you have a confirmation number, but if you want solid piece of mind, why not just call the hotel directly?


I would get on the phone ASAP. That%26#39;s a busy weekend. Stand firm whatever they tell you. You have a cofirmation and you%26#39;ve already bought plane tickets.


Thanks for all your advice. I do have a confirmation number, and will of course take a copy with me.

I have sent a further email this evening, and if no response then I will call them I think - just to be on safe side, though in reality would prefer email as could attach that to my confirmation.

Well, what do you know...you guys must have brought me luck! Hotel hav just responded to my email, all is well and my reservation is all ok.

CAB96 I think they have a different system over there because Ihave e-mailed so many hotels and nobody ever seems to reply and if they do it is weeks, sometimes a month later. I too was worried about my reservations so tried to call direct but they don%26#39;t seem to like that and prefer you to stick to their reservations on the website. I%26#39;m just keeping fingers crossed my reservation will still be intact by the time I arrive!
