From Toronto to NYC

Did anyone travel from Toronto to New York City by bus before? I have checked the bus time schedule from the Ivymedia.com. It seems only few bus to NYC in a week. I decide to travel to NYC in 13/10/2005, what is the best transportation way? also, money is a matter. please! : )

Also, sometimes there are $99 non-stop flight specials between LGA and Toronto, but you have to search for them.

Have you tried the Canadian bus company Greyhound? They run 7 buses daily, but they%26#39;re not cheap. $105 CND one way/$197.50CDN return. Their site is greyhound.ca

Trailways of New York offers 9 daily trips, also not inexpensive

I tried ivymedia.com too but couldn%26#39;t locate a bus on the day you%26#39;ve chosen

Canada%26#39;s train company viarail.ca offers one trip to NYC daily, but it%26#39;ll set you back $97CND each way, takes as long as the bus, and you have to travel during the daytime only, no overnight trips. But, IMHO, the train is infinitely more civil than the bus.

However, I%26#39;d take queensboulevard%26#39;s advice and keep an eye on the plane fares. Also, perhaps some members on the TripAdvisor Toronto forum might have some cheaper alternatives for you. Good luck!

when I was a student (15 yrs ago) I used to fly from NYC to Buffalo ($120 or so) and take the bus from the airport into Toronto Downtown for about $25 (average 2 hrs depending on border crossing).

I also hear there are sometimes chinese bus services from Toronto chinatown to NYC chinatown. They tend to be less expensive than greyhound.

I%26#39;ve taken the train and it%26#39;s very pleasant but takes a long time.

Why don%26#39;t you fly out of Buffalo - $138 return cdn. You can%26#39;t beat that and it only takes an hour!

I used to fly to Toronto all the time on JetsGo which went bankrupt. :( Use the Canadian Greyhound busses, it%26#39;s like $80 each way. But If I was you I found buy one of those $99 specials. They%26#39;re online right now, go look!
