Restaurant Advice

Can anyone recommend a restaurant for 4 of us for our last night? We are staying at 200 West 56th Street and our friends are at 87 7th Ave at the corner of 55th Street. Nothing too pricey, it%26#39;s just that we have an early start back to Newark on the Saturday. I thought maybe I should book before we go.

Thanks, Jackie

(apologies if I have asked this already but I can%26#39;t find the thread if I have!!)

Bobby Flay%26#39;s new place, Bar Americain, is the hottest spot in midtown.

I think Bar Americain gets very loud. If you want some other options are:

the Beacon (beaconnyc.com) 56 b/w 5th %26amp; 6th

Molyvos (molyvos.com) 7th ve b/w 55th-56 st. for Greek

Trattoria Dell Arte (trattoriadellarte.com) for Italian 7th %26amp; 56-57 st.

Redeye Grill seafood is on the same st. as Trattoria above but also gets very loud.

Look up menus etc. on menupages.com

You%26#39;re right, it does get loud. In fact, that was my only complaint. I find Redeye and Trattoria del%26#39;Arte also loud.

Town would be lovely, but it%26#39;s on the expensive side. Also a bit expensive, but a gorgeous setting and lovely cuisine is Milos, Estiatorio (www.milos.ca). And there%26#39;s a newish Italian directly across 55th St. from there, but I can%26#39;t remember the name of it.

Thanks both of you. I%26#39;m looking at their web sites. Just add any others you can think of.

I%26#39;m also going through all the car/limo sites to compare them for to %26amp; from Newark. They all look much the same as far as I can see.

I am going to NY in October also and flying into Newark - would love to book a lio for my niece to enjoy but don%26#39;t want to waste money on transportation when we can use it in the city! Can you share what you discovered on prices?

Koi is one of the newest hip places here in the city, if you are looking for a ';scene';
