Sorry for spelling mistakes the heat must be getting to me lol

no plans for saturday day time as yet or sunday morning..

Hi NETS, I am from Liverpool and will also be in NY Tuesday at 12:55 to Sunday returning on the 6oclock flight (I assume from your approx times youre going with BA?), but not until Nov 29, so your itinerary is of interest to me. It sounds really good, but maybe you could do central park on Saturday and walk down to the ESB - you didnt mention that. And then you wouldnt have to go in two different directions on Friday. I think I%26#39;m going to stay at the Radisson SAS Manchester Airport on the Monday night on account of the early Tuesday flight too to extend my holiday. Its well worth it cause you can see all the airport and runway from your bed, and its all connected to the terminals. Also try and sit on the left hand side of the plane coming in to JFK - its recommended by this forum for the views.

Have a great time anyway and write a trip report. Ill be very interested.

Love Cath x

Cath i stayed at the Radisson in Feb on the way to Vegas. I would give it a miss not really that good %26amp; runway views are pretty poor.

I have booked the Hilton for 31st Oct looks much better %26amp; closer to T3. The reason i have not mentioned ESB. I tend to go to NY twice a year. So i have done quite a lot, i tend to go back to the same places. for this trip i have got my self organised... ( hopefully)

It%26#39;s a bit difficult to make suggestions knowing that you%26#39;ve already seen some of the main attractions before but I would tend to agree that Saturday might be a better day for Central Park as you don%26#39;t have to rush to get to Brooklyn.

Perhaps you could investigate Battery Park, Lower Broadway, Wall Street and Fraunces Tavern on Friday morning?

Nic

how many hours would you allocate for Brooklyn...bearing in mind i want to have lunch ,see Brooklyn heights etc.. unsure what time to set off over the bridge.Hoping to catch the amazing sunset as in your photo%26#39;s.

thanks

Let%26#39;s say 1.5 hours for lunch. We walked from Clark Street to the Promenade (stopping to take photos of and admire the lovely brownstones), took in the fabulous view of lower Manhattan and then walked up Montague Street (stopping off for coffee at the Heights Cafe) and then via Clinton St and Cadman Plaza to the bridge. We arrived in Manhattan 2.25 hours after we got off the train at Clark St.

Put all that together and you should be able to have lunch and see everything in under 4 hours. You should aim to arrive at the Brooklyn side of the bridge just as the sun is setting (check the web for times) and then allow 45mins to an hour to cross.

Thanks nic you have been a big help
