I%26#39;m looking for a studio from 20 oct for 12 night, is the Atrium recommneded? I%26#39;m looking for a CLEAN place around 200$ per night.
Thanks in advance

Very mixed reviews here

Read them carefully. I personally would pick something else. This is not a hotel but rather like an apartment building and I think there%26#39;s a big difference from one apartment to the next.
If you%26#39;re looking for an apartment, I would contact a few apartment agents, tell them your dates and budget and see what they have available. Some websites are
citylightsnewyork.com
newyorkhabitat.com
furnishedquarters.com
Fyi, there are not a lot of choices in Greenwich Village and prices there are higher than other perfectly good areas like the upper westside.

Good advice. Already have some results.
Glad to hear it. If you need some help picking a location/apartment give us a shout. ;)
Hi Shai
I stayed at the Atrium with my 2 children (then aged 11 and 9yrs) in a one-bed apartment while our friends had a studio apt -I did leave a review here on TripAdvisor. The state of the toilet in the studio was disgraceful by anyone%26#39;s standards!
The Atrium is in a great location - we had a wonderful clear view of the Empire State Building from our apt - but this building and the apartments are *not* clean. If this is your main criteria I%26#39;d give it a miss.
There are some other places listed here - try a search for Oxbridge Theatre District for instance - which, while not high end, are at least clean it seems.
There are numerous studios listed at
http://www.theinsider.com/nyc/Condos.htm
you can then check back at TripAdvisor for reviews.
Good luck.
ebabe I don%26#39;t like that website at all. The Woogo apartments are owned by an unscrupulous company formerly known as yourstay. Stay away.
Many of the hotels listed on it are available elsewhere at better prices. Just wanted to post that for anyone reading.
Hi NYWhizz
Thanks for the info, I%26#39;ve used NYInsider site without problem in the past and the prices where comparable at that time (I always check everywhere regardless!) I was aware Woogoo are the old Your Stay I presume the name change was due to the aweful company reputation - the Paris one was no better!
However, the site lists a lot of studio apts that Shai can at least get the names of and check for elsewhere. I always come back to TripAdvisor if I find a new place listed to see if there are any reviews.
Again, thanks for the info.
I found an apartment on west 13 between 8th Ave. And Hudson St. Would the proximity to the meat packing area/market really bother us? My wife is an ex-vegetarian and can%26#39;t stand the smell of rotten (or other) meat.
Thanks
There%26#39;s not a lot of meatpacking taking place in the meatpacking district these days. Instead it%26#39;s become a trendy restaurant, club and shopping area ;). I%26#39;d be more concerned about whether you might be disturbed by noise from a neighboring bar or restaurant. If you%26#39;ve been given the exact address, you might put it in a google search to see what might be nearby. Here%26#39;s a description of the area and a small map.
newyorkmetro.com/visitorsguide/neighborhoods鈥?/a>
That location is 2 blocks from the popular Abingdon Guest House. You might check reviews here on that to see what people say about the neighborhood. I don%26#39;t think you%26#39;d smell meat.
It%26#39;s mainly a ';meet market'; in the Meatpacking District, now.
There%26#39;s a nice Thai restaurant nearby called Highline. It%26#39;s pricier than your average NYC Thai, but you%26#39;re paying for the cool atmostphere, the hip location. Personally, I found the food and cocktails to be very good.
Pop in for a drink just to catch the vibe!

just glad to get the info that Woogo is the old Your Stay because we got totally defrauded by Your Stay london and bilked out of lots of money, what a disaster. Is the Atrium the same Signature Suites Bleecker street?
