If you must get a real hot dog, go to any Gray%26#39;s Papaya or Papaya King. (multiple locations.) Cheap enough to try both and post your assessment here.

I believe they offer relish, onions, pickles, sauerkraut. Don%26#39;t know about chilly.

Those movies about NYC, gotta love %26#39;em. (Oy.)

It has to be F%26amp;B%26#39;s. They%26#39;ve two locations;

269 W 23rd Street between 7th and 8th Avenues and

150 E 52nd Street between between Lexington and 3rd Avenue.

I had the Chilli dawg and the Great Dane. They have about 15 different types of Hot Dog. Had the other half not protested I%26#39;d have ate their every night ;-)

They serve it on it%26#39;s own or as a meal. Fries or salad plus drink. They have a stack of european beers there too. The salads are excellent.

It%26#39;s a bit off the beaten track for most tourists, but Schnack in Red Hook is the best I%26#39;ve ever had in the city. Simply amazing and cheap too. If you%26#39;re over in the Smith/Court St. area it%26#39;s worth the extra few blocks walk - also right around the corner is Alma - great mexican with a wonderful view of the city skyline.
