I%26#39;m looking for some great shops to visit while in NYC. Nothing on Madison AVE or anything extremely well known, ie. Barney%26#39;s, Bloomingdales, etc.
I love vintage, as well, discount designer places would be great!
Also, does anyone know where What Comes Around Goes Around is located?? I hear its this great vintage shop, anyone ever been?
Shopping, Shopping, Shopping!
What Goes Around... is on West Broadway in Soho. (351 W. Broadway) It%26#39;s pretty decent, kind of expensive because of it%26#39;s reputation for celebrity clientele. They do have good stuff though.
The primo nieghborhood for Vintage is the East Village and NoLita, there is a store called Resurrection on Mott (217 Mott St.), which is the very similiar to What Goes Around. Also check out Tokio 7 (7th St b/n 2nd and 3rd) for great designer consigment.
My favorite consignment shop in the city is a place called Fisch for the Hip. (153 W. 18th just off 7th ave.) It%26#39;s a little pricey, as they only accept merchandise in absolutely pristine condition. They have a really awesome spectrum of merchandise, you never know what you can score there.
Shopping, Shopping, Shopping!
When you shop at Housing Works Thrift Shops, you%26#39;re helping an organization that finds housing for people with AIDS and HIV.

Have fun!
Here%26#39;s a list of some fun and different stores that you won%26#39;t find everywhere that I always take visiting friends too and hit up for the holidays. A google search of their name should pull up websites for most.
Pylones 69 Spring St. Store from Paris that sells funky designed toys and housewares.
Beard Papa%26#39;s 740 Broadway at Astor Place - okay, not a store but a yummy cream puff stand from Japan.
Il Papiro 1021 Lexington Ave Wonderful handmade papers from Italy. Unique cards, gift sets, picture frames.
Find Outlet 361 W. 17th - designer clothes on consignment. Small store but the selection is pretty good and changes often
Beacon%26#39;s Closet - in Williamsburg 88 N. 11th St. Brooklyn
Fishes Eddy for kitchen items (plates, glasses, old airline silverware) 889 Broadway at 19th St
Fishes Eddy also has a location in Brooklyn (Montague St) which takes up a lot of my spare cash (just love that funky glassware!)
If you%26#39;re searching for said store, make sure you spell it correctly:
Fishs Eddy (no ';e'; in Fishs).

See namesake town in upstate New York (always thought the highway dept. misspelled the sign.):

It%26#39;s a small hamlet within the Town of Hancock. Appropriately, there%26#39;s great fly fishing there.
