Hi Everyone, Have been quiet for a while but still been on reading and watching every day, as you do. I managed to go on to open table and get booked for the River Cafe for New Years Eve, was really pleased with myself then booked Mama Mia for Christmas Day show, really organised. So I got an e.mail from River Cafe a few weeks later to say that my reservation had been cancelled, so i rang River Cafe, apparently open table should not have booked it for New Year as they did not know what they were doing yet. The guy was very helpful told me to ring back again in November. I have just had an e.mail from Broadway.com to say the producers have decided not to run the show on December 25th. Oh dear I am back to the beginning :-) Any suggestions from anyone greatly appreciated.

Call restaurants and hotels direct for best price and firm reservations. As for shows, check out others you might like on Playbill.com. I know your pain, had tickets, took the cab, landed at the theater and found a paper sign that said that Thoroughly Modern Millie had closed the previous night. Was I cranky for a spell? Definitely! Until I got ticket refunds for the shpw. Work through a travel agent that will guarantee a return on your ticket price if the show cancels.

It might be a bit early to book places for New Year%26#39;s dinner right now. Definitely keep checking on opentable.com. And be persistent with the River Cafe. It sounds like they aren%26#39;t saying no...they just aren%26#39;t saying yes.

Thanks for the answers guys. Its not so bad for me then mamababoo at least I got told three months in advance, poor you that would have been very frustrating to say the least. Will keep trying for River Cafe then Voyagereuse I will call again in November.
